• Thursday, September 24 to Friday, September 25, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. the following morning: Motorists can expect intermittent single-lane closures in the inside lane of southbound S.R. 3 (N. Courtenay Parkway) between S.R. 528 and Grant Road. These closures are necessary for crews to place a new control console into the bridge house.

• Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting overnight full closures of northbound and southbound Interstate 95 (I-95) between Exit 249 for S.R. 44 and Exit 256 for Taylor Road/Dunlawton Avenue.

  Due to weather, the construction and closure schedule has changed. Please see the updated dates below. 

  The closures will occur nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. to place beams as part of the I-95 at Pioneer Trail Interchange project.

  Northbound I-95 Closure

  Northbound I-95 will be fully closed at Exit 249 for S.R. 44 on Thursday, September 24; Sunday, September 27; and Monday, September 28. Closures are scheduled nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  Northbound Detour: Motorists will exit northbound I-95 at Exit 249 and turn left onto S.R. 44. Motorists will continue to Airport Road and turn right, then turn left onto Williamson Boulevard and right onto Taylor Road/Dunlawton Avenue to return to northbound I-95.

  Southbound I-95 Closure

  Southbound I-95 will be fully closed at Exit 256 for Taylor Road/Dunlawton Avenue from Tuesday, September 29, through Thursday, October 1. Closures are scheduled nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

  Southbound Detour: Motorists will exit southbound I-95 at Exit 256 and turn right onto Taylor Road/Dunlawton Avenue. Motorists will continue to Williamson Boulevard and turn left, then turn right onto Airport Road and left onto S.R. 44 to return to southbound I-95.

  Construction schedules may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. FDOT advises motorists to reduce speed, follow posted signage, and exercise extra caution while traveling through the work zone.

These temporary traffic operations are necessary for the contractor to complete concrete curb and gutter installation, sidewalk work, and paving operations.

• Monday, September 21 to Saturday, September 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Motorists can expect flagging operations on northbound and southbound State Road (S.R.) A1A just north of Granada Boulevard. • Monday, September 21 to Saturday, September 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Motorists can expect inside and outside single lane closures on northbound and southbound State Road (S.R.) A1A from East International Speedway Boulevard to Milsap Road for concrete sidewalk work, curb installation, drainage construction, and signalization.

These closures are necessary for crews to perform milling and paving operations.

• Sunday, September 20 to Friday, September 25, from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.: Motorists can expect intermittent double-lane closures in the inside and middle lanes of northbound and southbound Interstate 95 (I-95) from Babcock Street to the Indian River County Line. These closures are necessary for crews to perform milling and paving operations.

• The southbound Interstate 95 (I-95) inside and outside lanes from north of the U.S. 1 interchange to North Tymber Creek Road will be closed nightly between 8:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. beginning Sunday, September 20, 2026. 

  The closures will be phased so the inside and outside lanes are not closed at the same time. No detour will be implemented, and the I-95 on- and off-ramps at U.S. 1 will remain open. 

  Motorists should use caution, reduce their speed, and stay alert while traveling through the work zone. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances and will continue until the work is completed.  

• Thursday, September 17: The off-ramp from southbound I-95 to westbound S.R. 528 (Exit 205B) will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Friday, September 18.

  • Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access westbound S.R. 528 should continue south on I-95 and exit at S.R. 524 (Exit 202), turn left onto eastbound S.R. 524, turn left to re-enter northbound I-95 and continue north to S.R. 528 (Exit 205B).

  Thursday, September 17: The off-ramp from southbound I-95 to eastbound S.R. 528 (Exit 205A) will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Friday, September 18.

  • Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access eastbound S.R. 528 should continue south on I-95 and exit at S.R. 524 (Exit 202), turn left onto eastbound S.R. 524, turn left to re-enter northbound I-95 and continue north to S.R. 528 (Exit 205A).

  Thursday, September 17: The on-ramp from westbound S.R. 528 to southbound I-95 (Exit 42A) will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Friday, September 18.

  • Motorists traveling westbound on S.R. 528 who wish to access southbound I-95 should take the on-ramp to northbound I-95, continue north on I-95 and exit at Port St. John Parkway (Exit 208), turn left onto westbound Port St. John Parkway and turn left to re-enter southbound I-95.

  Sunday, September 20: The on-ramp from eastbound S.R. 528 to southbound I-95 will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Monday, September 21.

  • Motorists traveling eastbound on S.R. 528 who wish to access southbound I-95 should continue east on S.R. 528 and take Exit 42B to access northbound I-95, immediately take Exit 205B to access westbound S.R. 528, continue west and immediately take Exit 42A to access southbound I-95.

  Monday, September 21: The off-ramp from northbound I-95 to eastbound S.R. 528 will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, September 22.

  • Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access eastbound S.R. 528 (Exit 205A) should continue north on I-95 to Port St. John Parkway (Exit 208), turn left onto Port St. John Parkway and proceed west to access the southbound I-95 on-ramp, then proceed south to S.R. 528 (Exit 205A).

  Monday, September 21: The on-ramp from eastbound S.R. 528 to northbound I-95 will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, September 22.

  • Motorists traveling eastbound on S.R. 528 who wish to access northbound I-95 (Exit 42B) should enter southbound I-95 (Exit 42A), continue south on I-95 to S.R. 524 (Exit 202), turn left onto S.R. 524 and immediately re-enter northbound I-95.

  Monday, September 21: The off-ramp from northbound I-95 to westbound S.R. 528 (Exit 205B) will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, September 22.

  • Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access westbound S.R. 528 (Exit 205B) should continue north on I-95 to Port St. John Parkway (Exit 208), turn left onto Port St. John Parkway and proceed west to access the southbound I-95 on-ramp, then proceed south to S.R. 528 (Exit 205B).

  Tuesday, September 22: The on-ramp from westbound S.R. 528 to northbound I-95 will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Wednesday, September 23.

  • Motorists traveling westbound on S.R. 528 who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue west on S.R. 528 and take Exit 42A onto southbound I-95, immediately take Exit 205A onto eastbound S.R. 528, then immediately take Exit 42B to northbound I-95.

• Sunday, September 27 through Friday October 2, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning: Motorists can expect intermittent single lane closures on northbound and southbound South Patrick Drive (S.R. 513) from Eau Gallie Boulevard (S.R. 518) to Patrick Space Force Base. 

  These closures are needed for milling and paving operations.

• Traffic Advisory: Traffic Shift Planned for South Patrick Drive at Banana River Drive Starting August 2

  Motorists are advised that a traffic shift will be implemented on South Patrick Drive (State Road (S.R.) 513) at Banana River Drive, between Pine Tree Drive and Indrio Boulevard, beginning as early as Sunday, August 2.

  This traffic shift is expected to remain in place for approximately three months as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) performs utility work. This work is part of FDOT’s resurfacing project on South Patrick Drive from Eau Gallie Boulevard (S.R. 518) to Patrick Space Force Base.

  As part of the shift, traffic traveling northbound on South Patrick Drive will be redirected to travel on the southbound side of the roadway, with one lane maintained in each direction.

  Access from South Patrick Drive to eastbound Banana River Drive will be closed for the duration of this traffic configuration.

  • Motorists wishing to access eastbound Banana River Drive from South Patrick Drive are advised to use eastbound Eau Gallie Boulevard (south of Banana River Drive) or eastbound Desoto Parkway (north of Banana River Drive) to access S.R. A1A as an alternate north-south route to navigate around the work zone.

  Access from Banana River Drive west across South Patrick Drive will also be unavailable.

  • Motorists on Banana River Drive east of South Patrick Drive are advised to use S.R. A1A to access westbound Eau Gallie Boulevard to the south or westbound Desoto Parkway to the north to travel to South Patrick Drive.

  Please refer to the attached detour map for routes.

  Periodic single-lane closures outside of the traffic shift location will occur during both daytime and nighttime hours. The speed limit will remain 40 mph throughout the corridor.

  FDOT advises motorists to reduce their speed, follow posted signage, and exercise extra caution in the work zone. Construction schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

• Motorists are advised that beginning Friday, July 24, there will be a single outside lane closure on southbound Fiske Boulevard (S.R. 519) from north of Levitt Parkway to south of Lakemoor Boulevard. 

  As part of ongoing safety improvements, the closed lane at Lakemoor Boulevard will be utilized for a pedestrian detour. The closure is necessary to allow crews to perform drainage operations, remove concrete sidewalk, and conduct other miscellaneous construction activities.

  Motorists should expect minor traffic pattern adjustments in the area, remain alert, use caution while traveling through the work zone, and follow all posted signs and directions.

   

• Sunday through Saturday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.: Starting in January until August, motorists can expect inside and outside single lane closures in the following locations:

  • U.S. 1 from Park Avenue to Bellefonte Avenue
  • S.R. 405/South Street from S.R. 50 to South Bobbi Lane
  • U.S. 192 from Babcock Road to Riverside Place 
  • S.R. 528/S.R. A1A from S.R. 3 to George King Boulevard 
  • S.R. 520 from S.R. 3 to Milford Point Road 
  • Sarno Road from S.R. 518 to Wickham Road 
  • Eau Gallie Boulevard from east of Pineapple Avenue to A1A
  • Port St. John Parkway over I-95 
  • U.S. 1 from U.S. 192 to Post Road 
  • U.S. 1 from Crane Creek Bridge to Strawbridge Avenue 
  • U.S. 1 from Rocky Point to 1st Street
  • I-95 Interchange to Eau Gallie Causeway
  • U.S. 1 from Melbourne University Boulevard to North of Aurora Road
  • S.R. 520 from Hubert Humphry Bridge to west of Banana River Relief Bridge
  • S.R. A1A at North End of Patrick Space Force Base
  • S.R. 513 from Pine Tree Drive to Banana River Drive
  • S.R. 519 from Bouganvillea Drive to Barnes Boulevard

  These closures are necessary for crews to miscellaneous construction work.

View project: U.S. 1 (S.R. 5) over Pellicer Creek Bridge Replacement

• Beginning June 11: Motorists are advised that a traffic shift on U.S. 1 (State Road (S.R.) 5) over Pellicer Creek at the Flagler-St. Johns County line will be implemented as early as Monday, June 8. The shift is necessary to accommodate the construction of a new northbound bridge and demolition of the old bridge.

  During this first phase, the northbound bridge will be closed, all northbound traffic will be shifted to the southbound bridge.

  Once the new northbound bridge is complete and the old bridge is demolished, all traffic will be moved onto the new northbound bridge. This will allow crews to close and replace the existing southbound bridge.

  Due to space limitations, the outside shoulders will be temporarily reduced to 1 foot during traffic shift operations. The median opening between Pellicer Creek Campground and Shantytown Village will be temporarily closed during construction. Navigational access for boats will be maintained.

  FDOT advises motorists to reduce their speed, follow posted signage, and exercise extra caution in the work zone. Construction schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

• Sunday, Sept. 27, to Thursday, Oct. 1, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly: Motorists are advised that there will be lane closures on southbound  I-75 for construction of auxiliary lanes and roadway shoulder. In addition, northbound I-75 will briefly narrow to one lane at the Southwest 66th Street bridge for bridge demolition work.

• Monday, June 15, through June, 2027: Motorists are advised that the Southwest 66th Street bridge over I-75 is closed until mid-June 2027 for reconstruction. Motorists who wish to cross I-75 will instead be directed to use the SW 43rd Street Road bridge.

  Detour for motorists traveling east: Eastbound motorists may travel east on State Road 200 to SW 43rd Street Road, turn right, and proceed east across the SW 43rd Street Road bridge.

  Detour for motorists traveling west: Westbound motorists may travel north on SW 27th Avenue to Southwest 42nd Street and turn left, then travel west across the SW 43rd Street Road bridge and turn left on NW 40th Avenue or continue to State Road 200.

• The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close all lanes of westbound I-4 Express from John Young Parkway (State Road (S.R.) 423) to the end of I-4 Express just west of Kirkman Road (S.R. 435) overnight on Monday, September 28, and Tuesday, September 29. The closures will begin as early as 11 p.m. both nights and are expected to end by 5:30 a.m. the following morning, with the final closure ending the morning of Wednesday, September 30.

  These closures are necessary for overhead sign construction.

  Detour Information

  Motorists traveling westbound on I-4 Express will be directed to exit the express lanes onto the westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) general-use lanes near John Young Parkway (local exits 78-74AB).

  Access to and from westbound I-4 Express direct connect ramps at Florida’s Turnpike and Grand National Drive will be restricted as part of the closure.

  FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
