About
The Florida Department of Transportation is enhancing Interstate 75 (I-75) in Marion and Sumter counties, from south of State Road (S.R.) 44 to S.R. 200. A second project, scheduled to begin in late summer 2025, will focus on enhancements from S.R. 200 to S.R. 326 (FPID No. 452074-1) in Marion County.
Both projects will add auxiliary lanes to the interchanges, and in some locations, infrastructure improvements will be made. Improvements to several interchanges are proposed, including modifications to the I-75 interchanges at S.R. 326 and S.R. 40. The approved design will help relieve congestion on I-75 while providing resiliency for this heavily trafficked roadway. Project documents are provided below.
