Orange County Lane Closures

View project: S.R. 423 from Kingswood Drive to Adanson Street

• Monday, June 22, to Tuesday, June 23, from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.: Motorists can expect the temporary closure of Kingswood Drive at S.R. 423 (Lee Road) as crews work to install a new signal strain pole. During this time, the following detours will be in place, enforced by traffic officers and detailed by roadway signage.

  Detours:

  S.R. 423 Westbound

  • Motorists who wish to turn right onto Kingswood Drive will proceed westbound to Goddard Avenue and turn right. From there, they will travel north to Malone Drive, turn right, and continue east to Kingswood Drive.

  S.R. 423 Eastbound

  • Motorists who wish to turn left onto Kingswood Drive will proceed eastbound to Palace Court and make a U-turn to head westbound on S.R. 423 toward Goddard Avenue, where they will turn right. From there, they will travel north to Malone Drive, turn right, and continue east to Kingswood Drive.

• Sunday, June 14 to Saturday, June 20, from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. the following morning: Motorists can expect intermittent single-lane closures in the inside and outside lanes of eastbound and westbound S.R. 423 (Lee Road) between Kingswood Drive and Adanson Street. These closures are necessary for crews to perform concrete removal and clearing and grubbing work.

• Sunday, June 14, through Thursday, June 18, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists should expect intermittent, single-lane closures on Orange Blossom Trail from S.R. 50 to Princeton Street for median work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Sunday, June 14, through Thursday, June 18, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists should expect intermittent, single-lane closures on Orange Blossom Trail at the S.R. 414 intersection for mast arm installation. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Sunday, June 14, through Thursday, June 18, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists should expect intermittent, single-lane closures on Orange Blossom Trail at the Clarcona Ocoee Road to Mott Avenue for mast arm installation. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists should expect eastbound single-lane closures on Clarcona Ocoee Road from Journal Avenue to U.S. 441 for widening work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists should expect northbound single-lane closures on Orange Blossom Trail from Cinderlane Parkway to Rose Avenue for directional boring and signalization work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing overnight closures on eastbound I-4 Express from Monday, June 1, through Thursday, July 30, for joint repairs.

  Crews will close eastbound I-4 Express in segments starting near Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) to its ending point near E.E. Williamson Road, continuing north as work is completed.

  The closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to end by 5 a.m. each morning, with the final closure ending the morning of Friday, July 31. These closures will take place nightly, except for Independence Day, Saturday, July 4.

  During these closures, motorists can continue through the area using the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) general use lanes. Motorists who wish to use eastbound I-4 Express will be directed to enter or exit eastbound I-4 Express at designated locations as work progresses.

  FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

• Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Motorists should expect single lane closures on Clarcona Ocoee Road from Pine Hills Road to Hiawassee Road for sidewalk work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Motorists should expect single lane closures on North Pine Hills Road from Clarcona Ocoee Road to Beggs Road for sidewalk work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Motorists should expect single lane closures on U.S. 441 from S.R. 414 to Beggs Road for trail work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Motorists should expect single lane closures on Beggs Road from Pine Hills Road to the bridge for trail work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Beginning April 30, continuous: Motorists can expect a traffic shift on U.S. 441 north of Beggs Road for trail work.

• The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight closures of both eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) entrance ramps from Apopka-Vineland Road (State Road (S.R.) 535) on Monday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 16. The closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to end by 6 a.m. the following morning, with the final closures ending on the morning of Wednesday, June 17.

  These closures are necessary for crews to complete milling, resurfacing, and widening work to help lengthen the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road.

  Eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road detour (south of I-4):

  From northbound Apopka-Vineland Road south of I-4, motorists will turn right onto eastbound Vineland Avenue and proceed east toward International Drive. From there, turn left onto International Drive, then turn left again onto Daryl Carter Parkway. From there, turn right onto the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.

  Eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from southbound Apopka-Vineland Road detour:

  From southbound Apopka-Vineland Road, motorists will continue south, then turn right onto World Center Drive (S.R. 536). From there, take the entrance ramp on the right to eastbound I-4.

  FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
