448801-1 Silver Star Road (S.R. 416) from S.R. 438 to U.S. 441

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) installed operational and safety improvements along State Road (S.R.) 416 (Silver Star Road) from S.R. 438 (Princeton Street) to U.S. 441 (Orange Blossom Trail). In addition to repaving the roadway, the project installed a raised traffic separator east of the S.R. 423 (John Young Parkway) intersection. Concrete traffic islands were also built at Hansrob Road and the Wawa driveway to limit left turns onto Silver Star Road from these locations. Traffic and pedestrian signal upgrades were completed at key intersections, including Princeton Street, Eunice Avenue, and Mercy Drive. The project improved safety and accessibility by filling sidewalk gaps for pedestrians, enhancing connectivity along the paved shoulders for bicyclists, installing bus stops, and reconstructing curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Lighting improvements at signalized crosswalks, new signage, and pavement markings were also included.
