Lake County motorists, please be advised: The southbound lane of S.R. 500A (Old U.S. Hwy. 441) will be closed permanently on April 11, 2022.
- Motorists driving west on U.S. 441 (S.R.500/S.R.44) wanting to go south on S.R. 500A (Old U.S. Hwy. 441) will need to turn right onto S.R. 19.
- Motorists driving south from North Lakeshore Boulevard wanting to continue going south will have to turn right at U.S. 441 and then proceed to make a U-turn to merge onto Lakeshore Blvd towards S.R. 19.
The purpose of this traffic shift is to allow the contractor to work on realigning the northbound approach of Lakeshore Boulevard (S.R. 500A) at U.S. 441 and the construction of a raised median to separate the left turn lanes from the southbound lanes on Lakeshore Boulevard.

Lake County Lane Closures

Monday, May. 23, through Friday, May. 27.: Expect outside travel lane closures northbound, on U.S. 441 from Martin Luther King Blvd. to Griffin Road for drainage and concrete operations. Please reduce your speed and exercise caution in the work zone.

Lake County motorists, please be advised: The inside travel lanes and medians on U.S. 441 (Citrus Boulevard) northbound and southbound from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Griffin Road will be closed beginning Monday, Feb. 28.
The closures will allow the roads to be resurfaced, as well as curb and traffic separators to be installed within the median area. Median and lane closures will be in effect until the work is completed.
Signage and traffic control devices will direct drivers through the remaining open lanes during these closures.
Please note that construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Always be cautious and avoid distractions when driving through a work zone.

U.S. 441 Northbound Traffic Shift to begin May 26, 2022, in Lady Lake, FL.
Lake County motorists, please be advised: The northbound lanes on U.S. 441 are shifting to a newly constructed roadway from Lake Ella Road to East Lakeview Street as early as the evening of Thursday May 26, 2022.
The shift relocates traffic onto nearly 2 miles of newly paved roadway and will allow the contractor to work on the next phase of construction by opening the work zone area.

Starting the morning of Oct. 4, a segment of County Road (C.R.) 25 will be closed beneath the U.S 441 bridge in Lady Lake. This closure will allow bridge work as part of the U.S. 441 widening project between Lake Ella Road and Avenida Central.
The following detours will be in effect:
- Motorists driving south on C.R. 25 who wish to continue south should turn right onto Fennell Boulevard, turn left onto U.S. 441, and turn right onto West Hermosa Street, turn right onto North Clay Avenue, and turn right onto Oak Street before arriving at C.R. 25.
- Motorists driving north on C.R. 25 who wish to continue north should turn onto Oak Street, turn left onto North Clay Avenue, turn left onto West Hermosa Street, turn left onto U.S. 441, and turn right onto Fennell Boulevard to get back to C.R. 25.
The closure is scheduled to begin as soon as the morning of Monday, Oct. 4 and remain in effect until the project is completed in fall 2023. Please note that the work schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
