About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is resurfacing U.S. 27 (State Road (S.R.) 25) from north of S.R. 50 to County Road (C.R.) 561A (Southern Breeze Drive) in the cities of Clermont and Minneola in southern Lake County.

The purpose of the 2.6-mile project is to extend the service life of the roadway, and maintain a safe and reliable driving surface. The project is also reconstructing sidewalk curb ramps as needed to comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and updating signage and pavement markings along the corridor.

What to Expect

Motorists should anticipate areas of uneven pavement within the project limits, a common condition during construction when the contractor applies multiple asphalt layers in phases. These roadway conditions are temporary and will improve gradually as the project progresses. Lane closures are restricted to overnight.

Lane closures are permitted on U.S. 27 from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

While workers are on site, motorists are strongly encouraged to exercise caution and reduce speed to ensure the safety of everyone on the roadway. The project timeline is subject to change and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
