About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is reconstructing and upgrading the traffic signals at the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441/State Road 500) and Clarcona-Ocoee Road in Orange County. Improvements include new signal poles, upgraded signal heads for enhanced driver visibility, and new pedestrian signals. Additional intersection upgrades include extending the eastbound right turn lane and constructing a two-foot-wide traffic separator next to the left turn lane to improve safety. In the southeast corner of the intersection, the outside lane will be widened and a truck apron will be added. Both pedestrian islands will be reconstructed to provide safer refuge areas for those crossing the road. The project also includes drainage improvements and updates to sidewalks and curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards.
