Orange County Lane Closures

View project: S.R. 436 from U.S. 441 to Seminole County Line

• Sunday, April 12 to Friday, April 17, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning: Motorists can expect alternating single- and double-lane closures in both directions of S.R. 436, between South Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441), and the Seminole County Line. Closures will shift between the inside and outside lanes as crews perform milling and resurfacing work.

• Wednesday, April 29, and Thursday, April 30, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight closures of the eastbound State Road (S.R.) 408 exit ramp to eastbound Interstate 4 (I‑4) at Exit 10B. These closures are necessary for the application of high-friction surface treatment.

  Detour Information:

  Motorists traveling eastbound on S.R. 408 who wish to access eastbound I‑4 will be directed to take Exit 10A toward westbound I‑4, continue to Exit 81 (Michigan Street), turn left onto West Michigan Street, and follow posted signage to access eastbound I‑4.

  FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Motorists should expect westbound single lane closures on Clarcona Ocoee Road from Pine Hills Road to Hiawassee Road for sidewalk work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Motorists should expect southbound single lane closures on North Pine Hills Road from Clarcona Ocoee Road to Beggs Road for sidewalk work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Motorists should expect northbound single lane closures on U.S. 441 from S.R. 414 to Beggs Road for trail work. FDOT encourages the traveling public to drive, walk, and ride with caution and courtesy.

• Tuesday, January 6 through April 2026, Continuous:  Motorists can expect continuous northbound lane closures on U.S. 441 (Orange Blossom Trail) from Beggs Road to north of the State Road (S.R.) 414 ramps. The closures will remain in place until April 2026, reducing this section of U.S. 441 to a single lane. Driveway access will not be impacted, and the closures are necessary to accommodate excavation, drilling operations, and water main installations.

  The construction schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

• ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing overnight closures of Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) under Interstate 4 (I-4) on the nights of Wednesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 16 as well as Sunday, April 19 through Tuesday, April 21.

  Additionally, the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Sand Lake Road will be closed overnight on those nights as well. The closures will begin as early as 11 p.m. and will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning, with the final closure opening the morning of Wednesday, April 22.

  These closures are necessary for bridge demolition over Sand Lake Road as part of the improvements to the I-4 and Sand Lake Road interchange.

  Crews will close all lanes of Sand Lake Road under I-4. Left-turn movements from Sand Lake Road to the I-4 entrance ramps will be restricted, and motorists exiting I-4 at Sand Lake Road will be limited to right turns only.

  Detour from Eastbound Sand Lake Road (West of I-4):

  Turn right onto westbound I-4, then take Exit 72 onto eastbound S.R. 528 (Beachline Expressway). From there, take Exit 1 to International Drive, bearing right on the ramp to head north. From northbound International Drive:

  • Motorists can return to Sand Lake Road by continuing north on International Drive.
  • Motorists can access eastbound I-4 by taking westbound S.R. 528 to the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.

  Detour from Westbound Sand Lake Road (East of I-4):

  Turn right onto northbound International Drive, then turn left onto northbound Universal Boulevard. From northbound Universal Boulevard:

  • Motorists can return to Sand Lake Road by turning left onto westbound Hollywood Way and left again onto southbound Turkey Lake Road.
  • Motorists can access eastbound I-4 from northbound Universal Boulevard.
  • Motorists can access westbound I-4 by turning right onto eastbound Tom Williams Way, then turning right again onto southbound Kirkman Road (S.R. 435) and proceeding to the westbound I-4 entrance ramp.

  FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
