ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing overnight closures of Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) under Interstate 4 (I-4) on the nights of Wednesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 16 as well as Sunday, April 19 through Tuesday, April 21.
Additionally, the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Sand Lake Road will be closed overnight on those nights as well. The closures will begin as early as 11 p.m. and will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning, with the final closure opening the morning of Wednesday, April 22.
These closures are necessary for bridge demolition over Sand Lake Road as part of the improvements to the I-4 and Sand Lake Road interchange.
Crews will close all lanes of Sand Lake Road under I-4. Left-turn movements from Sand Lake Road to the I-4 entrance ramps will be restricted, and motorists exiting I-4 at Sand Lake Road will be limited to right turns only.
