About
The intent of this project is to construct pedestrian safety improvements along State Road (S.R.) 423 from Kingswood Drive to Adanson Street. Intersection improvements include updated crosswalks, modernized pedestrian signals, and "School Crosswalk" signs at Kingswood Drive.
The first directional median west of Adanson Street will be closed, and a new signalized intersection will replace the existing directional median near the McDonald’s and RNR Tire Express. The new intersection will also be equipped with crosswalks and pedestrian signals.
The roadway will be repaved as needed to accommodate new pavement markings. In addition, the eastbound left turn lane onto northbound Kingswood Drive, the westbound left-turn lane in front of the McDonald’s, and the eastbound left turn lane at Adanson Street will be extended to improve traffic flow.

Sunday, August 2 to Thursday, August 6, from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. the following morning: Motorists can expect intermittent single- and double-lane closures in the center and outside lanes of eastbound and westbound S.R. 423 (Lee Road) between Kingswood Drive and Adanson Street. These closures are necessary for crews to perform drainage structure and signal span wire installation.
