451251-1 S.R. 40 (West Silver Springs Boulevard) at SW 27th Avenue

The purpose of the project is to enhance safety and operations at the intersection of Silver Springs Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 40) and SW 27th Avenue in Ocala. Work includes:

• Widening to provide dual left-turn lanes at the eastbound and westbound intersection approaches.
• Widening to the outside on eastbound S.R. 40, approaching the intersection, to accommodate an exclusive right-turn lane.
• Reconstructing the SW 27th Avenue median to provide dual left-turn lanes at the northbound and southbound approaches.
• Reconfiguring the existing signal to accommodate lane improvements.
