This project is one of three segments to complete resurfacing and safety improvements along Clyde Morris Boulevard (State Road 483) from Beville Road (S.R. 400) to Mason Avenue. This project will resurface Clyde Morris Boulevard from Richard Petty Boulevard to International Speedway Boulevard (U.S. 92).

Other improvements include, adding a raised median and adding a new pedestrian crossing at Buccaneer Way. The project will also reconstruct and upgrade the traffic signal at Richard Petty Boulevard.

To enhance pedestrian safety and connectivity, the FDOT plans to convert the existing drainage canal on the west side of Clyde Morris Boulevard within the project limits to a closed system with a drainage pipe. Closing in the canal will accommodate construction of a new 14-foot-wide shared-use path.

The remaining work along Clyde Morris Boulevard will be done under project numbers 448773-3 and 448773-4.
