About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is designing improvements along Clyde Morris Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 483) from Beville Road (S.R. 400) to Mason Avenue in Daytona Beach. The project goal is to resurface the roadway and enhance safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers throughout the corridor. Planned improvements include wider sidewalks, a 14-foot-wide shared-use path, new raised medians with landscaping, traffic signal reconstruction, and a new pedestrian tunnel under Clyde Morris Boulevard just north of the main entrance to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU).

To advance construction, the FDOT has divided the project into three segments:

  • 448773-2 from Richard Petty Boulevard to International Speedway Boulevard
  • 448773-3 from Aviation Parkway/Bellevue Avenue to Richard petty Boulevard and from International Speedway Boulevard to Mason Avenue. This segment also includes the pedestrian tunnel.
  • 448772-4 from Beville Road to Aviation Parkway/Bellevue Avenue.

Additional right of way is needed to complete the improvements and is expected to be acquired through donations.
