This Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project will be enhancing District 5’s emergency management and maintenance systems by installing remotely accessible sensors that will provide continuous monitoring of roadway bridges that are critically important for the movement of people and goods throughout the District. These new sensors will monitor wind speed, water level, and roadway surface conditions on various bridges across Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Sumter, and Volusia counties.
