View project: I-4 at Sand Lake Road Interchange from east of S.R. 528 to west of S.R. 435
-
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement an overnight closure of the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) entrance ramp from Sand Lake Road on Thursday, June 18. The closure will start as early as 10 p.m. on Thursday night and end by 6 a.m. the morning of Friday, June 19.
This closure is necessary to shift traffic on the ramp to the right for continued eastbound I-4 general use lane reconstruction.
NOTE: If this work is not completed on the night of Thursday, June 18, then Sunday night, June 21, will serve as a backup date.
Detours for the Eastbound I-4 Entrance Ramp from Sand Lake Road
- During the ramp closure, motorists west of I-4 on Sand Lake Road can head north on Turkey Lake Road, turn right onto eastbound Hollywood Way, and then turn right onto southbound Universal Boulevard to access eastbound I-4.
- Motorists east of I-4 on Sand Lake Road who wish to access eastbound I-4 should head north onto International Drive and turn left onto northbound Universal Boulevard, then proceed to the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.
FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
