The project at the intersection of U.S. 41 at Rainbow Lakes Boulevard in Marion County is intended to improve overall safety and traffic operations. A traffic services study conducted by the Department determined that a new traffic signal is warranted at this location.

As part of the Traffic Operations Pushbutton Program, the project includes the installation of a new traffic signal with mast arms. Pedestrian signals are not included in this scope. Additional improvements involve the construction of guardrail within the intersection area to support the new infrastructure.
