About

The purpose of this project is to enhance safety by converting the full median opening on W. Granada Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 40) and Water Oak Lane in Ormond Beach, Volusia County, to a two-way directional median opening. These improvements will enhance access control, traffic flow, and reduce the possibility of crashes.

These proposed improvements will continue to allow U-turns for both eastbound and westbound traffic on W. Granada Boulevard. Eastbound traffic will be able to turn left onto Water Oak Lane. Westbound traffic will also be able to turn left into West Boulevard Centre. Right turns will only be possible from Water Oak Lane and the West Boulevard Centre onto W. Granada Boulevard. New pavement markings and signage will be installed to direct drivers.

A public information meeting about this project was held on March 21, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. Please see the public meeting information in the files below.
