About

The purpose of this project is to enhance safety by converting the full median opening on West Granada Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 40) at Water Oak Lane in Ormond Beach, Volusia County to a two-way directional median opening.

In addition to the new median, a new U-turn apron will be constructed on eastbound W. Granada Boulevard at the Bermuda Estates Drive intersection. The apron will provide a wider turn radius for vehicles making a U-turn from westbound W. Granada Boulevard onto eastbound W. Granada Boulevard. Traffic from Water Oak Lane and the West Boulevard Centre will only be able to turn right onto West Granada Boulevard.

These improvements will enhance safety by reducing the possibility of serious crashes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Motorists should anticipate construction activities to occur during the day and at night. Some lane closures may be necessary to allow crews to perform construction activities safely. Access to properties will be maintained.

Please note that the construction schedule may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
