About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will make improvements on South Pine Avenue (U.S. 441/U.S. 27/U.S. 301) intersection, just south of West Silver Springs Blvd (State Road 40).
The purpose of this project is to extend the two left turn lanes on northbound South Pine Avenue to westbound West Silver Springs Blvd., and extend the right turn lane on northbound South Pine Avenue to eastbound West Silver Springs Blvd.
The extension of both left and right turn lanes at the intersection will improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. To accommodate the extension of the two left turn lanes, the mid-block crosswalk on South Pine Avenue near Southwest Broadway Street will be removed.
This project is scheduled to begin fall 2025 and estimated to be complete by spring 2026.
During construction, motorists can expect nighttime lane closure and detours. Electronic message boards and signage will inform drivers of the upcoming work. Construction equipment, noise, and dust are expected. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists can also see real-time traffic conditions, road closures, and detour routes to plan their trip by visiting FL511.com or checking the Florida 511 app.
