454893-1 S.R. 518 from S.R. 513 to S.R. A1A

The purpose of this safety project is to implement recommendations from a Pedestrian Safety Study on State Road (S.R.) 518 (Eau Gallie Boulevard) in Indian Harbour Beach and Melbourne. Proposed improvements include:

• Install a raised median to help reduce left turn and angle crashes near the shopping center on the southeast quadrant of the N. Riverside Drive intersection.
• Construct new signalized pedestrian crossings at Mediterranean Way and San Pedro Drive
• Construct a raised channelizing island at the Walmart Driveway 
• Creating a new pedestrian crossing at the signalized Walmart intersection.
