453311-1 S.R. 3 from Catalina Isle Drive to north of S.R. 528 eastbound Ramps

The goal of the project is to enhance safety along North Courtenay Parkway (State Road (S.R.) 3) from Catalina Isle Drive to the S.R. 528/S.R. A1A eastbound on-ramp in Merritt Island. The proposed concept would replace the existing center two-way left turn lane with a raised median to reduce the chances for severe head on and angle crashes. Median openings and left turn lanes will be provided to accommodate access.

The project also plans to add a new traffic signal on North Courtenay Parkway at Via De La Reina.

The concept is consistent with the existing roadway configuration on North Courtenay Parkway to the south.
