About

The purpose of this project is to resurface a section of State Road (S.R.) 40 from U.S. 41 to SW 119th Avenue, west of Ocala in Marion County. In addition to repaving the travel lanes, the project will include drainage and guardrail upgrades.

Also, the FDOT recently decided to expand the scope of work to include construction of a new traffic signal at the intersection of S.R. 40 and SW 180th Avenue Road. These improvements will help to enhance safety and maintain the roadway.

A new crosswalk will be added on the east side of the SW 140th Avenue intersection, along with sidewalk connections at the intersection, and upgraded pedestrian signals.. Pedestrian curb ramps at the intersection of SW 140th Avenue will be reconstructed to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
