About

The purpose of this project is to mill and resurface State Road (S.R.) 40 from NE 64th Avenue to west of SE 196 Terrace Road in Marion County. In addition to repaving the travel lanes and shoulders, the project is installing audible vibratory treatment to alert drivers if their vehicle travels outside of the lane. Pedestrian upgrades at the intersection of S.R. 40 and NE County Road (C.R.) 314 are also being implemented.

Lane Closures
  • Sunday, Sept. 13, through Friday, Sept. 18, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night: Motorists are advised that there will be nightly single-lane closures eastbound and westbound on S.R. 40 from NE 64th Avenue in Silver Springs to SE 196th Terrace Road for installation of thermoplastic striping and rumble strips.

    FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy!
