About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is resurfacing approximately 9.7 miles of northbound and southbound Interstate 95 (I-95) from south of State Road (S.R.) 50 to S.R. 46 in Titusville and Mims. The project also includes resurfacing the I-95 ramps at the S.R. 50, S.R. 406 and S.R. 46 interchanges.

The northbound I-95 exit ramp to S.R. 46 will be widened to extend the existing right turn lane, facilitating smoother traffic flow. Additional improvements include upgraded ramp lighting, refreshed roadway signs and pavement markings, as well as enhanced traffic management technology to improve safety and travel through the area.

Monday, August 17: The off-ramp from northbound I-95 to West Main Street (Exit 223) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, August 18.

    • Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access West Main Street (Exit 223) should continue north on I-95 and exit at Deering Parkway (Exit 231). From there, turn left onto westbound Deering Parkway, immediately re-enter southbound I-95, and proceed to West Main Street (Exit 223).

For the latest updates and project information about I-95 from south of S.R. 50 to S.R. 46, please visit www.cflroads.com/project/450771-1.

  • Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 21, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Motorists can expect a right shoulder closure on the northbound I-95 exit ramp to S.R. 46 (Exit 223), as well as closures on the northbound and southound inside shoulders. All exits will remain open at all times.

These closures are needed for ramp widening work and restoration. The ramp will be temporarily reduced to 11 ft wide as this work takes place. The daytime shoulder closures are necessary for guardrail and ditch pavement work.
