About
The purpose of this project is to enhance pedestrian safety on State Road (S.R.) A1A from Hidden Cove Drive to Sea Dunes Drive. Proposed improvements include new pedestrian crossings equipped with pedestrian activated signals known as Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons and adding new sidewalk on the west side of the road between Casseekee Trail and Hidden Cove Drive. Pedestrian crossing warning signs and possible lighting enhancements are planned. The project developed from a pedestrian safety study.
