About
The Florida Department of Transportation is repaving a segment of State Road (S.R.) 436 from Lake Howell Road to the Orange County line to extend the service life of the roadway. Pedestrian crosswalks and curb ramps are being updated as needed in accordance with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
Construction also includes the addition of raised concrete channelizing islands at several locations along the corridor to improve traffic flow and reduce conflict points.

Sunday, September 27 to Thursday, October 1, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning: Motorists can expect intermittent single-lane closures in the outside lanes and side streets of northbound and southbound S.R. 436 between Lake Howell Road and Casselton Drive. These closures are necessary for crews to perform milling and paving work.
FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy!

Saturday, September 26 to Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Motorists can expect intermittent single-lane closures in the right turn lanes of northbound and southbound S.R. 436 from Lake Howell Road to Winter Woods Boulevard. These closures are necessary for crews to perform concrete work.
