About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will provide roadway and safety improvements on State Road (S.R.) 464 from Southwest 2nd Avenue to S.R. 35 in Ocala, Marion County. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the road and enhance safety for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.

Work will consist of milling and resurfacing the roadway, as well as upgrading the pedestrian signals and enhancing intersection lighting. To facilitate operations along the corridor the project will be modifying some driveways and adjusting drainage as needed. Additional work will include the construction of sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and bus stops along the corridor.

  • Sunday, December 3, through Saturday, December 16, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Expect eastbound shoulder closures on S.R. 464 from Southeast 25th Avenue to S.R. 35 (Baseline Road) for shoulder grading and sod operations.
