439156-1 SR 11/Perkins Highway at C.R. 304 Intersection Improvements

About
The purpose of the project is to construct a roundabout at the intersection of State Road (S.R.) 11 (Perkins Highway) and County Road (C.R.) 304 in Cody's Corner, an unincorporated community in Flagler County, to enhance safety and operations. Upon completion, the roundabout will be equipped with a concrete apron that allows trucks and other large vehicles to safely travel through the roundabout. Work also includes lighting upgrades, landscaping in the center of the roundabout, new signage, and new pavement markings.

The roundabout is being constructed concurrently with another project that will resurface S.R. 11 from the Volusia County Line to U.S. 1, FPID: 447082-1

Lane Closures

Starting as early as May 7, all lanes of County Road (C.R.) 304 on the east side of the State Road (S.R.) 11 (Perkins Highway) intersection in the unincorporated community of Cody’s Corner, Flagler County, will close for up to six months. This closure is necessary to construct the first half of the roundabout at this intersection. A detour will be in place, and motorists will be directed around the roadway closure by signage.
DETOUR:
- Motorists traveling eastbound on C.R. 304 will be directed to turn left onto S.R. 11 and then right onto U.S. 1 to return to C.R. 304.
- Motorists wishing to access C.R. 304 west of S.R. 11 will be directed to take U.S. 1 to S.R. 11 and head south to C.R. 304.
Access to local roads and nearby properties, including Cody’s Corner General Store, will be maintained throughout construction.
Please note that the construction schedule is subject to change pending weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
