In spring 2017, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) completed a planning study for the Robinson Street corridor, with broad input from corridor stakeholders and the public. The planning study identified and evaluated a full range of strategies to address multimodal safety and mobility along Robinson Street.

The preferred alternatives identified in the planning study address the varying needs of each of the character districts along the corridor, including the Central Business District (CBD), Lake Eola District, Neighborhood District, and the Milk District. A concept development study started in the summer of 2017 which included further engineering analysis of the potential alternatives previously identified. The study determined the best solutions that could be advanced to design and construction. Design and construction phases for Robinson Street are currently not funded.
