About

The project begins south of State Road (S.R.) 40 (West Silver Springs Boulevard) on U.S. 441/U.S. 27/U.S. 301 (South Pine Avenue) and extends northward stretching between SW 3rd Street to NW 2nd Street.  The intent of the project is to implement traffic operation improvements and improve the life of the pavement through milling and resurfacing the existing travel lanes, and turn lane widening.

Minor drainage, pedestrian, sidewalk, intersection and signalization improvements are also a part of this project. The proposed improvements will add a dual left turn on northbound U.S. 441 to S.R. 40, and extend the left turn lane from southbound U.S. 441 to S.R. 40, and the northbound left turn from U.S. 441 to NW 2nd Street.

Lane Closures
  • Thursday, February 1, through Friday, March 29, 24 hours per day: Motorists should expect northbound outside lane closures on U.S. 441 from just south of West Fort King Street to Northwest 3rd Street for roadway widening and mast arm and light pole installation. The intersection of U.S. 441 (South Pines Avenue) and S.R. 40 will be unaffected by the closure. Please slowly approach the construction zone, merge safely into the open lane(s), and proceed cautiously through the work area.
