This project calls for widening State Road (S.R.) 501 (Clearlake Road) from three lanes to four lanes from south of Michigan Avenue to north of Otterbein Avenue, and from two lanes to four lanes from north of Otterbein Avenue to west of Industry Road. The proposed typical section will be a four-lane divided roadway with curb and gutter, with accommodation for shared use paths on both sides.

FDOT is conducting a PD&E Study Update to convert the State Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) approved in 2017 to comply with federal standards in order to expand funding opportunity options.

The PD&E Study and Design are ongoing and being conducted concurrently. The project is not yet funded for right of way acquisition or construction. Please check this website regularly for updates. Project documents, meeting announcements, and other important information will be uploaded as it becomes available.
