Traffic Advisory: Overnight Ramp Closures at Pineda Causeway Interchanges with U.S. 1, South Tropical Trail, and South Patrick Drive August 31 - September 4

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures at the Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404) interchanges with U.S. 1 (S.R. 5), South Tropical Trail (County Road (C.R.) 3), and South Patrick Drive (S.R. 513) beginning Monday, August 31, through Thursday, September 3. The final ramp is scheduled to reopen on Friday morning, September 4.

These closures are necessary to complete ramp work for the Pineda Causeway resurfacing project in Brevard County.

Monday, August 31: The ramp from westbound Pineda Causeway to northbound U.S. 1 will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, September 1.

·       Motorists traveling westbound on Pineda Causeway who wish to access northbound U.S. 1 should continue west to Holy Trinity Drive, make a U-turn at the traffic signal onto eastbound Pineda Causeway, take the exit for U.S. 1, and then turn left onto northbound U.S. 1.

Tuesday, September 1: The ramp from eastbound Pineda Causeway to South Tropical Trail will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Wednesday, September 2.

·       Motorists traveling eastbound on Pineda Causeway who wish to access South Tropical Trail should take the exit for Patrick Space Force Base/South Patrick Drive and turn left onto northbound South Patrick Drive. From there, turn left to enter westbound Pineda Causeway and proceed to the South Tropical Trail interchange.

Wednesday, September 2: The ramp from westbound Pineda Causeway to South Tropical Trail will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Thursday, September 3.

• Motorists traveling westbound on Pineda Causeway who wish to access South Tropical Trail should continue west to Holy Trinity Drive, make a U-turn at the traffic signal onto eastbound Pineda Causeway, and then exit onto South Tropical Trail.

Thursday, September 3: The ramp from eastbound Pineda Causeway to South Patrick Drive will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Friday, September 4.

·       Motorists traveling eastbound on Pineda Causeway who wish to access South Patrick Drive should continue east toward S.R. A1A. From there, turn right onto southbound S.R. A1A and right again onto westbound Ocean Boulevard to access South Patrick Drive.
