The purpose of this project is to repave Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404) from U.S. 1 to S.R. A1A in Merritt Island. The paving would also include the interchange ramps at U.S. 1, County Road (C.R.) 3 (South Tropical Trail), and S.R. 513 (S. Patrick Drive). The project also plans to add wrong way detection on the ramps that don’t already have the technology, add bike lanes next to the right turn lane (keyhole lane) at the S.R. A1A intersection; and update pavement markings for the bike lanes.
