Traffic Advisory: Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchanges, May 3-8
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement the following overnight ramp closures on Interstate 95 (I-95) in Brevard County beginning as early as Sunday, May 3.
These closures are necessary to complete paving operations for the I-95 resurfacing projects.
The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
FDOT advises motorists to remain alert and follow all posted detour signs. Please see the attached detour maps for additional details.
Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at Ellis Road
Sunday, May 3: The southbound I-95 on-ramp from Ellis Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Monday, May 4.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on Ellis Road who wish to access southbound I-95 should turn right onto southbound John Rodes Boulevard. From there, proceed south to U.S. 192, turn right onto westbound U.S. 192, and proceed to the southbound I-95 on-ramp.
- Motorists traveling westbound on Ellis Road who wish to access southbound I-95 should continue west as Ellis Road turns into St. Johns Heritage Parkway and veers to the south. From there, continue south to U.S. 192, turn left onto eastbound U.S. 192, and proceed to the southbound I-95 on-ramp.
Monday, May 4: The northbound I-95 off-ramp to Ellis Road (Exit 182) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, May 5.
- Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access Ellis Road (Exit 182) should continue north on I-95 and take the exit for Eau Gallie Boulevard (S.R. 518) (Exit 183). From there, turn left onto westbound Eau Gallie Boulevard and proceed to access the southbound I-95 on-ramp. Then, travel south on I-95 and take the exit for Ellis Road (Exit 182).
Tuesday, May 5: The northbound I-95 on-ramp from Ellis Road will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Wednesday, May 6.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on Ellis Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should turn right onto southbound John Rodes Boulevard. From there, proceed south to U.S. 192, turn right onto westbound U.S. 192, and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.
- Motorists traveling westbound on Ellis Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should continue west as Ellis Road turns into St. Johns Heritage Parkway and veers to the south. From there, continue south to U.S. 192, turn left onto eastbound U.S. 192, and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.

Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at S.R. 50
Tuesday, May 5: The off-ramp from southbound I-95 to S.R. 50 (Exit 215) will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Wednesday, May 6.
- Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access S.R. 50 should continue south and exit at S.R. 407 (Exit 212). From there, turn left onto S.R. 407 and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp. Proceed north to S.R. 50 (Exit 215).
Wednesday, May 6: The on-ramp from S.R. 50 to southbound I-95 will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Thursday, May 7.
- Motorists traveling on S.R. 50 who wish to access southbound I-95 should enter northbound I-95 from S.R. 50 and travel north to exit at Garden Street (S.R. 406) (Exit 220). From there, turn left onto westbound Garden Street and proceed to the southbound I-95 on-ramp.

Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at Malabar Road
Wednesday, May 6, to Thursday, May 7: The southbound I-95 off-ramp to Malabar Road (Exit 173) will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Friday, May 8.
- Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access Malabar Road (Exit 173) should take the prior exit for Palm Bay Road (Exit 176), turn right onto westbound Palm Bay Road, turn left onto southbound Minton Road, and travel south to Malabar Road.
