BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures at the Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404) interchanges with South Tropical Trail (County Road (C.R.) 3) and South Patrick Drive (S.R. 513) beginning as early as Sunday, April 19, through Wednesday, April 22. The final ramp is scheduled to reopen on Thursday morning, April 23.

These closures are necessary to complete paving operations for the Pineda Causeway resurfacing project in Brevard County.

The following dates include buffers for unforeseen circumstances, and the ramp work will be completed in consecutive order so that no two ramps are closed at the same time. 

Sunday, April 19, and Monday, April 20: The ramp from South Tropical Trail to westbound Pineda Causeway will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding Tuesday, April 21.

  • Motorists traveling on South Tropical Trail who wish to access westbound Pineda Causeway should enter eastbound Pineda Causeway from South Tropical Trail and take the exit for Patrick Space Force Base/South Patrick Drive. From there, turn left onto northbound South Patrick Drive and then turn left to enter westbound Pineda Causeway.

Monday, April 20, to Tuesday, April 21: The ramp from eastbound Pineda Causeway to South Patrick Drive will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding Wednesday, April 22.

  • Motorists traveling eastbound on Pineda Causeway who wish to access South Patrick Drive should continue east to S.R. A1A, turn right onto southbound S.R. A1A, turn right onto westbound Ocean Boulevard, and continue west to South Patrick Drive.  

Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22: The ramp from South Patrick Drive to westbound Pineda Causeway will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding Thursday, April 23.

  • Motorists traveling on South Patrick Drive who wish to access westbound Pineda Causeway should continue south on South Patrick Drive, turn left onto eastbound Ocean Boulevard, turn left onto northbound S.R. A1A, and then turn left at the signal to access westbound Pineda Causeway.
