BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures at the Interstate 95 (I-95) interchanges at Cheney Highway (State Road (S.R.) 50) (Exit 215) and Garden Street (S.R. 406) (Exit 220) beginning as early as Sunday, March 29, through Monday, April 6. The final ramp is scheduled to reopen Tuesday morning, April 7.

These closures are necessary to complete paving operations for the I-95 resurfacing project in Brevard County.

Sunday, March 29, to Tuesday, March 31: The on-ramp from Cheney Highway to northbound I-95 will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Wednesday morning, April 1.

  • Motorists traveling on Cheney Highway who wish to access northbound I-95 should enter southbound I-95 from Cheney Highway and travel south to exit at Challenger Memorial Parkway (S.R. 407) (Exit 212). From there, turn left onto Challenger Memorial Parkway and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.

Wednesday, April 1, to Sunday, April 5: The off-ramp from northbound I-95 to Garden Street (Exit 220) will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Monday morning, April 6.

  • Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access Garden Street (Exit 220) should continue north on I-95 and exit at West Main Street (S.R. 46) (Exit 223). From there, turn left onto West Main Street, immediately re-enter southbound I-95, and proceed to the Garden Street exit (Exit 220).

Thursday, April 2, to Monday, April 6: The on-ramp from Garden Street to northbound I-95 will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Tuesday morning, April 7.

  • Motorists traveling on Garden Street who wish to access northbound I-95 should enter southbound I-95 from Garden Street and travel south to exit at Cheney Highway (Exit 215). From there, turn left onto Cheney Highway and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.
