BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures at Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404) and U.S. 1 (S.R. 5) beginning as early as Sunday, March 15, through Thursday, March 19. The final ramp is scheduled to reopen Friday morning, March 20.

These closures are necessary to complete paving operations for the Pineda Causeway resurfacing project in Brevard County.

Sunday, March 15: The ramp from westbound Pineda Causeway to southbound U.S. 1 will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

  • Motorists traveling westbound on Pineda Causeway who wish to access southbound U.S. 1 should continue west to Wickham Road, make a U-turn at the traffic signal onto eastbound Pineda Causeway, and then exit onto southbound U.S. 1.

Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17: The ramp from southbound U.S. 1 to eastbound Pineda Causeway will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Wednesday morning, March 18.

  • Motorists traveling southbound on U.S. 1 who wish to access eastbound Pineda Causeway should take the prior exit ramp for westbound Pineda Causeway, continue west to Wickham Road, and then make a U-turn at the traffic signal onto eastbound Pineda Causeway.

Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19: The ramp from northbound U.S. 1 to eastbound Pineda Causeway will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Friday morning, March 20.

  • Motorists traveling northbound on U.S. 1 who wish to access eastbound Pineda Causeway should continue north, turn left to exit onto westbound Pineda Causeway, continue west to Wickham Road, and then make a U-turn at the traffic signal onto eastbound Pineda Causeway.
