BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures at Pineda Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 404) and U.S. 1 (S.R. 5) beginning as early as Sunday, March 8, through Thursday, March 12. The final ramp is scheduled to reopen Friday morning, March 13.

These closures are necessary to complete paving operations for the Pineda Causeway resurfacing project in Brevard County.

Sunday, March 8: The ramp from westbound Pineda Causeway to northbound U.S. 1 will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

• Motorists traveling westbound on Pineda Causeway who wish to access northbound U.S. 1 should continue west to Wickham Road (County Road (C.R.) 509), make a U-turn at the traffic signal onto eastbound Pineda Causeway, and then exit onto northbound U.S. 1.

Monday, March 9: The ramp from both northbound and southbound U.S. 1 to westbound Pineda Causeway will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

• Motorists traveling northbound or southbound on U.S. 1 who wish to access westbound Pineda Causeway should take the exit ramp for eastbound Pineda Causeway, travel east on Pineda Causeway, take the exit for South Tropical Trail (C.R. 3), turn left onto northbound South Tropical Trail, and then turn left to enter westbound Pineda Causeway.

Tuesday, March 10: The ramp from westbound Pineda Causeway to southbound U.S. 1 will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

• Motorists traveling westbound on Pineda Causeway who wish to access southbound U.S. 1 should continue west to Wickham Road, make a U-turn at the traffic signal onto eastbound Pineda Causeway, and then exit onto southbound U.S. 1.

Wednesday, March 11: The ramp from southbound U.S. 1 to eastbound Pineda Causeway will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

• Motorists traveling southbound on U.S. 1 who wish to access eastbound Pineda Causeway should exit onto westbound Pineda Causeway, continue to Wickham Road, and then make a U-turn at the traffic signal to head east on Pineda Causeway.

Thursday, March 12: The ramp from northbound U.S. 1 to eastbound Pineda Causeway will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

• Motorists traveling northbound on U.S. 1 who wish to access eastbound Pineda Causeway should exit onto westbound Pineda Causeway, continue to Wickham Road, and then make a U-turn at the traffic signal to head east on Pineda Causeway.
