Open House for Nova Road (S.R. 5A) Improvements Set for November 5
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a project open house regarding proposed improvements on Nova Road (State Road (S.R.) 5A) from Flomich Street to U.S. 1 in the cities of Holly Hill and Ormond Beach on Wednesday, November 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The purpose of this project is to resurface approximately 4 miles of Nova Road within the project limits. A raised median with dedicated left-turn lanes will replace the center two-way left-turn lane on Nova Road between Granada Boulevard and Wilmette Avenue, and a directional median will be built at Arroyo Parkway to enhance safety and operations. A new traffic signal is also planned at Old Kings Road.
The in-person open house will be held at The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32176. Attendees will be able to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.
To provide additional flexibility for stakeholders, the FDOT is also offering online opportunities to get involved:
