A traffic services study conducted by the Department has determined that a new crosswalk is warranted near the intersection of State Road (S.R.) 527 (Orange Avenue) and Park Lake Street in Orange County. This improvement is expected to enhance pedestrian safety through the installation of a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) crossing and improve overall intersection operations.

As part of the Traffic Operations Pushbutton Program, the project includes the design and construction of the RRFB crossing, along with upgraded intersection lighting to improve visibility and nighttime safety.
