The purpose of this project is to enhance safety by converting the full median opening on U.S. 441 (State Road (S.R.) 500/S.R. 44) at Lake Park Court in Eustis, Lake County, to a westbound directional median opening. These improvements will enhance safety by implementing improved access control, enhancing traffic flow and reducing conflict points, or locations where a crash can occur.

These proposed changes to the median will allow U-turns and left turns onto Lake Park Court for westbound traffic on U.S. 441. With these proposed changes only right turns will be possible from Lake Park Court onto eastbound U.S. 441. Signage and pavement markings will also be updated.
