This project will design safety improvements at two locations on State Road (S.R.) 44 in Volusia County.

At S.R. 44 and Eddie Road, the improvements consist of installing a flashing yellow arrow signal for the eastbound left-turn lane on S.R. 44, implementing a green left arrow phase for the eastbound and westbound left-turn movements from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. the project also proposes to close the current median opening at Fran Drive to extend the eastbound left-turn lane at Eddie Road and the westbound left-turn lane at Ellison Avenue.

At S.R. 44 and Ingham Road, the proposed improvements consist of converting the existing median opening to a directional median opening, which would eliminate left turns onto S.R. 44 from Ingham Road. the project also would close the current median opening at King Street to the west of Ingham Road and upgrade existing signing and pavement markings.
