The purpose of this project is to enhance safety at the intersection of Kirkman Road (State Road (S.R.) 435) and Old Winter Garden Road (County Road (C.R.) 526) in Orlando. The project proposes to reconstruct the existing traffic signal to upgrade the signals for driver visibility.  Additionally, pedestrian signals will be upgraded to provide a Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI) phase, which signals pedestrians to cross when all other traffic is stopped.
