About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is resurfacing a section of State Road Malabar Road (State Road (S.R.) 514) from west of I-95 to east of Babcock Street (S.R. 507) in Palm Bay. Additionally, pedestrian curb ramps will be reconstructed to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Lane Closures
  • Monday, May 11 through Thursday, May 14, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning: Motorists can expect intermittent inside and outside lane closures on westbound Malabar Road (S.R. 514) from S.R. I-95 to Babcock Street.

    These closures are needed for paving operations.

    FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy! 

  • Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at Malabar Road

    Monday, May 11, to Thursday, May 14, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning: The northbound I-95 on-ramp from Malabar Road (S.R. 514) will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Friday, May 15.

    • Motorists traveling on Malabar Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should turn north on Babcock Street and continue to Palm Bay Road. From there, turn left onto westbound Palm Bay Road and continue west to access the northbound I-95 on-ramp.

  • Overnight Ramp Closure at I-95 Interchange at Malabar Road

    Monday, May 11, to Thursday, May 14: The northbound I-95 on-ramp from Malabar Road will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Friday morning, May 15.

    • Motorists traveling on Malabar Road who wish to access northbound I-95 should turn onto northbound Babcock Street from Malabar Road. From there, proceed north to Palm Bay Road, turn left onto westbound Palm Bay Road, and proceed to the northbound I-95 on-ramp.
