About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is milling and repaving Nova Road (State Road (S.R.) 5A) from U.S. 1 to Herbert Street in Port Orange. This process helps maintain a reliable asphalt surface while extending the service life of the roadway.
This project includes the reconstruction of curb ramps and the addition of new detectable warning panels. These panels help warn pedestrians, especially the visually impaired, of an upcoming transition from the sidewalk to the roadway. These upgrades meet the latest Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
