About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) plans to make improvements along State Road (S.R. 44) from west of I-95 to east of South Walker Drive in New Smyrna Beach. This project will resurface the corridor and make lighting and signalization  improvements at the I-95, Colony Park Road, and South Glencoe Road intersections. limited sidewalk construction and curb ramp reconstruction as needed to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, as well as minor drainage improvements are included.

Additionally, the Volusia-Flagler Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) will fund the construction of a new  multi-use trail near the I-95 interchange. At Sugar Mill Drive, the existing traffic signal is being reconstructed by a private developer.
