About
This project will update mechanical and electrical components of the State Road (S.R.) 40 movable bridge crossing the St. Johns River in Astor. Improvements include a new emergency backup generator and new machinery, including span locks and brakes. A new control system will also be installed.

Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 8, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. motorists can expect eastbound single lane closures on the State Road (S.R.) 40 movable bridge crossing the St. Johns River in Astor from Blackwater Lane to the Lake County Line to work on installing the bridge generator.
