About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is performing maintenance on the North Causeway (State Road (S.R.) 44) moveable bridge over Indian River, also known as the Coronado Beach Bridge, in New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County.
This project will remove and replace the bridge’s hydraulic cylinders and accompanying machinery. The hydraulic cylinders allow the bridge to open and close for marine vessels to pass through. Replacing the existing hydraulic cylinders will ensure continued operation of the North Causeway for all users.
