449235-1 U.S. 17-92 at Enterprise Road Intersection Improvements

This project developed from a 2020 intersection safety study to help reduce the number and severity of crashes at the intersection of U.S. 17-92 (Volusia Avenue) and Enterprise Road. Improvements included replacing the free-flow right turn lane from westbound Enterprise Road to northbound U.S. 17-92 with two dedicated right turn lanes onto U.S. 17-92 that are under signal control. A new right turn lane was installed along northbound U.S. 17-92 into the shopping plaza.

The project also reconstructed and upgraded the traffic and pedestrian signals at the intersection, enhanced intersection lighting and made necessary drainage improvements. New sidewalk was constructed on the northeast side of the intersection, and pedestrian curb ramps were upgraded to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
