About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is resurfacing 24 miles of northbound and southbound Interstate 95 (I-95) from south of Malabar Road (State Road (S.R.) 514) to north of Fiske Boulevard (S.R. 519). The ramps at the following interchanges will also be repaved: Malabar Road, Palm Bay Road (County Road (C.R.) 516), U.S. 192, S.R. 518 (Eau Gallie Boulevard), S.R. 404 (Pineda Causeway), Wickham Road, and Fiske Boulevard.

Other improvements include building barriers to protect the overpass piers at Minton Road, S.R. 404, and Viera Boulevard, applying new deck coatings on the bridges over S.R. 518 and Lake Washington Road, upgrading pavement markings, and improving the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).

  • Overnight Ramp Closures at I-95 Interchange at Eau Gallie Boulevard

    Sunday, April 19: The southbound I-95 off-ramp to Eau Gallie Boulevard (S.R. 518) (Exit 183) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Monday, April 20.

    • Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 who wish to access Eau Gallie Boulevard (Exit 183) should continue south on I-95 and take the exit for Ellis Road (Exit 182). From there, turn left onto eastbound Ellis Road, turn right to re-enter northbound I-95, and proceed to the exit for Eau Gallie Boulevard (Exit 183).

    Monday, April 20, to Tuesday, April 21: The southbound I-95 on-ramp from Eau Gallie Boulevard will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding on Wednesday, April 22.

    • Motorists traveling on Eau Gallie Boulevard who wish to access southbound I-95 should turn south onto John Rodes Boulevard and continue to Ellis Road. From there, turn right onto westbound Ellis Road and continue west to access the southbound I-95 on-ramp.

    Wednesday, April 22: The northbound I-95 off-ramp to Eau Gallie Boulevard (Exit 183) will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Thursday, April 23.

    • Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 who wish to access Eau Gallie Boulevard should take the prior exit ramp for Ellis Road (Exit 182), travel east on Ellis Road, and turn left onto John Rodes Boulevard. Proceed north to Eau Gallie Boulevard.

    Thursday, April 23: The northbound I-95 on-ramp from Eau Gallie Boulevard will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Friday, April 24.

    • Motorists traveling on Eau Gallie Boulevard who wish to access northbound I-95 should turn south on John Rodes Boulevard and continue to Ellis Road. From there, turn right onto westbound Ellis Road and continue west to access the northbound I-95 on-ramp.

  • Sunday, April 19 through Thursday, April 23, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.: Motorists can expect inside single and double lane closures northbound S.R. I-95 from Pineda Causeway (Exit 188) to Viera Boulevard (Exit 193).

    These closures are needed for paving activities.

    FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy!
