The purpose of the project is to resurface U.S. 1 from Myers Drive to Crane Creek Bridge to extend the life of the existing roadway. The project also plans to enhance bicycle safety by restriping the travel lanes to provide 7-foot-wide buffered bicycle lanes from Myers Drive to University Boulevard. Pedestrian signal upgrades and reconstruction of pedestrian curb ramps, as well as enhanced lighting at signalized intersections is included.
