About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is resurfacing two miles of State Road (S.R.) 401 from S.R. 528 to the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The entrance and exit ramps at S.R. 528 will also be repaved, extending the life of the roadway.
Additional improvements include upgrading pavement markings, improving the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), upgrading guardrails, and improving the existing northbound and southbound movable bridge signals.

Lane Closures

Sunday, Jan. 25, through Thursday, Jan. 29, from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.: Motorists can expect alternating single lane closures on northbound and southbound S.R. 401 from S.R. 528 to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Intermittent ramp closures may also occur. Please follow posted signs for detour routes.
These closures are necessary for paving operations.
FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy.
